Ungodly Misfortune
‘Tis the night and the beast from here dwells
Within the midst of the gray lightened fog
Though the blackened bark infects his plea
The saint and the sinner bring nothing to me.
The caves and kind of utmost he stares
Into the darkness of light from which yearning
Gives into feat uplifting the face of might
And the spirit from which he is so trite.
The beast with all his evil clamor
Rears his ugly head into the darkness
And seeks those who dispel
The anger from within their own hell.
This demon of the night travels free
Of spirit, body and un-managed mind
Spawning his death upon the crimson shores
Beguiling those with his chores.
As the sky casts darkened gray and lights
Fade into the abyss of his night
Bring forth your dead and retrieve
The outcast of souls you will believe.
Ungodly misfortune has spun upon the day
When creatures unbeknownst settle rituals
For when the beast is near, he is powerful
Unwinding his death from the spool.
The night becomes dismal and still
The beast in all his power proclaims
That this day should be a day of death
To all who should perish a souls breath.

Fraying the Ends of Sanity
Fraying the Ends of Sanity
As he wakes the beast is gone
And what of his feats as an animal
What did he do?
He slumbers in the underbrush
But realizes not how he got there
The man blinks back the tears
Have the insane and remembering his fears.
As he stands he notices his apparel
Why is it gone and where did he put it?
What did he do?
He slinks back into the bushes
Looking for what is truly his
The man mumbles to himself frantically
Fraying his ends of sanity.
He descends into the deepest depths
Of his crippled mind and finds out
What he did do
He slouches into a fetal ball
Moaning all the while in corruption of pain
Crying he finds his dirtied clothes
What he's done, he now knows.
Flashbacks of a night of killing come into view
And the man covers his bloodshot eyes
Why did he do it?
Answers come none too soon or easy
Sobbing now with pathetic grief
And willing himself dead for the life he owns
But for now he just lays for hours and moans.
Self-pity and wallowing distrust govern him
And the man covers his naked body
What has he done?
To deserve this life in everlasting hell
Bleeding for the cause and feeling nothing
Puts on his best smile hiding himself completely
And riding the fraying ends of sanity.

Bed Of Roses

Bed of Roses
As I lay sleeping on the hardened cold ground
I see my life set before me into oblivion it drowns
The sky-clad misfortune descends on us all
As the nighttime deadens harkens the blackest call.
My bed of roses comforts me and lends my life
And the darkest evening n''er takes flight
From within the distance I see gruesome mass
Hysteria from far away, somehow near, my past.
The creature approaches with great anticipation
And I shiver at the thought of its sheer devastation
But he waits for his darkness writhing to compel
As the fire spews from his lips into the gates of hell.
My red, vibrant petals soothe and make me whole
As I ride the wave into the inferno casting my soul
I feel him touch me deep inside igniting the flame
And it was at that moment I realized his game.
As my glossy skin soaks in this collective sight
I love him more from within, unburdened plight
My bed of roses now unveiled into reality
I abide and wait for time to bring him to me.
And on his darkened wings I will fitfully ride
For it is his time and devotion by my side
As the past woes drown into our silence
My bed of roses long ignored since.
The creature of night and habit is he
For he waves my fears and sets me free
N’er fowl, nor foe will incant my dreams
For he is watching always it undoubtedly seems.
My lover, my mate, my friend, my true only one
Comes to me on my bed of roses before the sun
He bends so gracefully at the knee and whispers
Soft, caressing phrases of his undying love incurred.
I see in him the darkened corners of truth and reality
As he kneels at my rosy bedside forcing his plea
With a wisp and a sigh, he is gone from my holding grasp
But it is with great pleasure with his love I clasp.
The sun shines brightly upon my dented bed of roses
And I lie in contemplating thought of my lover I miss
Counting the seconds, the hours, the minutes all pass
Until his cold touch comes to warm me a mortal’s last.
