Pay the Piper

You wander through life in a drug induced haze looking for the ultimate high
But before you know it, your life has passed you by
You live in filth, stealing, panhandling, and conning your friends to get your next fix
But didn't anyone tell you that drugs and life doesn't mix.

(chorus)

It's time to pay the piper
Vital signs dwindling away
Pay the piper
You death could come today.

Slipping the infested needle into your pulsating vein as your nights fade into days
Disease ridden, A.I.D.S. sticks you, your postage pre-paid
Arraigning your own death sentence, make the proper arrangements, demise sure to come
Dying from the inside out, living is done.

(repeat chorus)

Snorting your whole life savings into your sore, reddened nostrils day in and day out
A big business man who runs out of clout
Unable to cope with life's little curves, putting your family on the auction block
Taking your life and belongings to be hocked.

(repeat chorus)

A violent struggle within your tortured mind, ill disposition, sucking on addiction, a crack pipe
Unable to decipher what's wrong and what's right
Drifting into your own little comatose world, trying to rid yourself of your relentless problems
Bringing yourself up from down, your future is dead grim.

(repeat chorus)

(flat line sound)
