Silent Rage
An ordinary man sits alone, his head in his hands
Waiting for justice from his racial reprimand
Black and white fight like cats and dogs
Spinning in circles we can't seem to beat the fog.
We're thrown together to deal with the hate
But we drift apart and seal our only fate
Alliance should rush and pulse in our veins
Remove the mask and only madness remains.
(pre-chorus)
What does it take to get along?
Can't you see prejudice is wrong?
When do we start to work together?
And make it through this stormy weather.
(chorus)
When hatred feeds the fire
Man becomes a lair
When people notice skin color
Silent rage recovers.
People are the same with the same feelings
Our own future a game, risk we're dealing
No one can see our world crumbling around us
Our last words ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
Streets are corrupt with violence and drugs
Warming to the enemy our graves are dug
Now in our fighting existence pain only remains
How did our lives get so insane?
(pre-chorus)
What does it take to see eye to eye?
Now all that remains are lies
How many young lives do we sacrifice?
What disaster do we entice?
(chorus)
(bridge)
Silent rage
Into the cage
Men are created equal
Harkening the call
Silent rage
Trapped in a maze
See your fellow man
Lend him a hand.
(pre-chorus)-2nd
(chorus)
