Lifeline

Lifeline

Fading to black hearing no sound
Self inflicted blast
Lying face down on the ground.

Razor burns on your wrists
Self inflicted to the last
Drifting in a pool of bloody kisses.

Dozing off on junk and pills
Remembering the past
Sleeping for your life kills.

Drinking yourself into oblivion
First stone cast
No longer the same son.

Make a noose and hand it tight
No talk back, no sass
Set it straight, make right.

Roll up the windows start the car
Flag at half mast
In this life, you won't get far.

Pour out the deadly gasoline
Perfect your craft
Deadly death and surely clean.

Plummet to the hard earth
Jump your last
There is no known rebirth.

Once you've considered these routes
Pull out forget the draft
Go on give suicide the boot.

Your own lifeline beats strong
Not able to really laugh
Once you cut the line you're gone.

So think about what you do
Leaving us behind, crashed
One mistake and you could be through.

Things will get better if you try
Stop living in the past
Lifeline goes on, time will lie.
